Tyson-common Cumbrian (farmer) name?

Reading the autobiography of Q - Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch [Oxford Book of English Verse, etc] when he went with his Oxford friends in the late 1800's for a 'reading' party in the Lakes, they stayed with 'farmer Tyson'. They combined their intense studies with afternoons of rock-climbing. This agreeable habit seemed to have died out in my student day ('53-).
