Thanks for solving the mystery. In the UK we just refer to "barbecues" and "barbecue stoves". In fact, when you look at the phrase "charcoal burning" the US usage is more logical than ours. After all, the US folks are actually burning charcoal. What we (and AR) call "charcoal burning" is really wood burning, in order to make charcoal. Perhaps this is an old-time use of the word "burn", meaning "produce by heat". Well, cue for an Ed K-style statement of how you keep learning in this wunnerful world of AR.
