Saw my second today, swooping over the Lady of the Lake at Rudyard. ( The L of the L is a Victorian boathouse standing, like an island, in the lake). Today's bird looked happier than yesterday's which was decidedly bedraggle. Also saw a buzzard, or may be something more exotic escorted by a mobbing crow, plus several coots and grebes. Had my first swim of the season, an involuntary affair, involving a sea-kayak, an ill-advised position half in and half out of the cockpit and an over enthusiastic attempt at a sculling draw. Easter, as Dick found out is a good time for one's first swim!
