You want under sail??!!
Coming up!
Hirondelle is smaller than Swallow at 10 feet with a four foot beam, that makes her quite stable. Yes, she does have a centre-board, or rather an iron centre-plate.
She came originally from West Mersea Yacht Club (the letters W.M.Y.C. were stamped under her stern thwart) and ended up in the Lake District eventually in need of restoration, although the hull was quite sound. The work was initially done by Ullapool Boatbuilders with the spars and sail finished off by Willow Bay Boats.
