No; I said they were blowing westwards, that's from the East. They're easterlies, not westerlies. I find the terminology, even if hallowed, horribly confusing, which is why I checked and posted a followup. And the reference to the map of prevailing winds. AND specifieed that it was in the southern Pacific; it's different further north.

Now my brain hurts... Or would, if it didn't nowadays consist of chicken soup. Which, I'm told, is quite similar in consistency to the real thing. Chicken soup, or porridge.

Blow the wind southerly...
