Ransome or Blyton reference?

I just finished China Mieville's Un Lun Dun, an excellent modern YA fantasy novel. [Warning- it's dark, and probably not for the younger reader] One of the characters referenced 'a Blyton novel that her mother had loved, but with a character's name that just sounded rude' to the modern reader. My immediate response was that this should have been a Ransome reference, with the character being Titty, but I haven't read a lot of Blyton. Is there a similar 'problem' name that pops to mind in her work?
