My mistake. It is Phillip, not Richard. I'm not sure where that came from.
At least we have a title for the third book. It makes it seem a little closer. I'm not sure why the Canadian edition of 'Northern Lights' is called 'The Goldern Compass', because there is no compass in it. It must be referring to the Alithometer (I think that's the right spelling), but at no time in the book do I remember it being called a compass.
