I wonder when the Lakes District got power to the outlying areas, the major ciites would have had power by the early 1900's.
I think the very last place in the Lake District to get mains power was Wasdale Head in about 1978.
By the way, it's the Lake District, or the Lakes (or Lakeland), not the Lakes District.
