I am aware that I certainly do need to take the offspring, with tents(?) and dinghy (?) to the Lakes, and I had better ger round to doing this fairly soon.
This expedition will have to be made by car, towing dinghy on trailer, and I am very open to suggestions as to how to do this economically. The absolute minimum seems to be to set foot on Peel Island and then to try to take in Kanchenjunga and some heather covered moorland with a plausible valley. Would the week after next be the worst possible time of year - should I plan for next Spring?
