There's a piece in The Times today by Richard Morrison - http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/richard_morrison/article6738918.ece
which is a sort of reiview of Roland Chambers' The Double Life of Arthur Ransome, I say sort of as it goes off to discuss why so many public figures have compicated private lives. He hints (and gives the impression the book tells more) that there was something 'odd' about AR and why he wrote the S&A books. I have to say I haven't read the book concerned, but I have seen in newspaper articles this 'hint' of a darks side or dubious motives. Anyone know why or have read the book concerned?
