Glad to see other people had the same reaction as me, I see part of the point Morrison is making but it seems odd to use AR as a starting point. It has always struck me that in the books AR was creating the childhood he wished he had had. Nothing odd in that (well not to me), but the other authors Morrison mentions do have a 'dark' side to them.
