It does rather, doesn't it? But there is an established place for the original location of Darien. I seem to remember seeing, probably somewhere on Tarboard's related sites, the annotated post card that AR sent to the original (rejected) illustrator of SA. Maybe this is it... I forget. Friar's Crag on Derwent Water rings a bell. I need to Google some more. But by Golly, one of the pleasures of age is the ability to tolerate things being a bit out of focus. In the bad old says I'd have been chasing it down. Now, I guess somebody will come along Real Soon Now and tell us all...
Of course, as we're talking about AR that should be Really Soon Chaps.
