Whence Karabadangbaraka?

A couple of years ago I noticed there is a town in Kazakhstan called Karaganda. I saw the slight resemblance to Karabadangbaraka, wondered if AR had heard of the town and gave the matter no more thought.
I recently discovered that Karaganda has a Web site. This mentions that Karaganda means "Black city" in the Kazakh language. (Presumably it is "City black" as there are several other Kara-somethings in the area.)
Might Karabadangbaraka actually mean something that AR had picked up in Russia? Any Central Asian linguists out there?
