I would have thought that her parents would have a good idea of her mental ability. Having seen pictures of her walking along a quay, I would wonder if she is physically strong enough to cope over a long period of time in what can be difficult oceans.
Also at that age could she cope with the lack of sleep? Children of that age and older tend to need much sleep, there cannot be many parents who have not experienced the difficulty in stirring their children at school time even after many hours of sleep.

It is worth noting that the yachting authorities have ceased to recognise the category of "Youngest Circumnavigator", perhaps with good reason.
