The URL for the TARS site no longer needs the trailing /ar/ -- that was an artifact from long ago. http://www.arthur-ransome.org should work just fine.
There is a Yahoo Arthur Ransome group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TarBoard/ but it doesn't seem to have had any activity for a number of months.
There is an Arthur Ransome Facebook group at http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=2612950856
All Things Ransome provides links for several other Ransome-related societies and websites, including the Arthur Ransome Club of Japan, the Arthur Ransome wiki, the Japanese Arthur Ransome wiki, and a Ransome site in Russia. These are all linked from the ATR home page and should be fairly easy to hijack.
Of course as ATR tries to be a sort of switchoard to Ransome-related items, you can also simply tell people to check out ATR for other sites.
