Being someone who enjoys reading the entire S&A series every two or three years, I got a bit tired of turning back to the start of each book to remind myself of the geography, all the way through each story. Particularly bad (indeed, sometimes impossible) if reading one of the paperback versions.
So in 1997 I got my act together and drew a composite map showing all the activities in all the Lakes-setting books. This one map, a separate A4 sheet (ie twice as big as the Cape edition maps) shows pretty-well everything discussed in S&A, S'dale, WH, PP, and TP&TM. So it's the only map I now need for reference when reading any of these books. (And because it's a separate sheet I don't have to keep turning back to the front and losing my place.) I also did a companion map of Wild Cat Island just for the fun of it. Copies of both are for sale if anyone is interested.
