Dorothea could be a year or less younger than Peggy, but seem a good deal younger to the group of seasoned explorers & pirates. They do talk quite a bit about how much the D's have not experienced due to living in the city. Peggy could be younger than we tend to think she is--many siblings end up somewhere around 2 years apart in age--but seem older because she has a lot of outdoor skills in place when we , the Swallows and the D's meet her.
