Oh don't... I remember the winter of 60-something, in the days before CO2 when we got cold snaps,
when the waste pipes of my parents' house in Earl's Court froze solid. At least it wasn't the supply,
but it was still horrid. In the best British tradition the pipes were external, on a tall house.
Those were the days! Of course, the Beckfoot waste water pipes would have been cast iron and external.
