Pleas ignore the dark glasses in the photo in the Telegraph! It is NOT a scene from the film - in fact that must be a crew member wearing them, as it is not John or Roger! No (child) sunglasses appear in the film. Quite where they got that photo from, or why they used it I don't know...
...but on reading the rest of the text I nearly wept. What a poor grasp of facts they have. I shake my head in sorrow.
As to your main point about adapting the entire canon for TV/film, I just cannot see it ever happenning. We (the fans) would all argue too much!
