Seems like a howler--- surely they would have been at the equiv of
Secondary Modern (technical).. which would probably not have
had blazers- I suppose they might have been at Grammar (County)
or even independent.. but they never talk - as I recall -any posh
school lingo & references like our middle-class heroes.. and all these
things were still true in the Coots Go North 1/2-book. It's sort of
nice that working class were allowed to join in, like the Don (SW), &
to some extent Bill (PD) altho' the latter was specifically warned off
getting too uppity by PD.
