When we were all last in England on leave I visited house rental agencies on the Scottish border looking for an 8-month lease. In one office the young lady spoke pure (if that's the right word) Estuary English. I hazarded that hse had recently moved from London. "No", she said, "Lynn". That is Kings Lynn, in north Norfolk (north of the Broads). Farewell to the accents of the Death and Glories!
