Those who, in the past, have urged the desirability of getting a major movie studio interested in AR's works, may wish to note the news item in today's "The Times" to the effect that Hollywood is planning a movie based on the Harry Potter series. We are informed that the location will be shifted to the US; the school will become Hogwarts High "complete with blonde cheerleaders". School holidays will become vacations, Harry's timetable his schedule (skedule, of course) and his accent one acceptable to American ears. I had been a little concerned about Nancy and Peggy being given a northern English accent in the recent BBC radio version: the thought of them with a New England twang brings on the horrors.
