I first read Swallows and Amazons in 1955. It has been with my family ever since. I have just taken my children and grandchildren to the area. The youngest is 2. What is very obvious is that they can relate to the film easier at the moment as the younger ones reading ability is limited. What they are keen in finding out is some of the locations used for the filming (i.e. did the film use both islands?). If anyone can help with any information they would be delighted. Thanks.
