I published two references in Mixed Moss, presumably before Adam joined. I don't have the journal nor the books with me. Both were mystery stories: one is set in Cornwall (author's and detective's names elude me) the 'tec watches children with a small boat and reminisces about AR. In the other (by Robert Barnard) there is a comment from a palpable ignoramus in the publishing industry to the effect that "there are literary societies today for people you've never heard of, like Angela Thirkell and Arthur Ransome". I suggested at the time that this is surely the first reference in fiction to TARS.
If anyone is keen on the precise quotations and does not have access to earlier MMs, email me and I will look up the details at home.
NB: my eldest daughter has just bought herself a powerful computer (much better than mine) and we will be sharing the cost of the internet at home, so I should shortly be able to answer questions like this more efficiently.
