I think in the case we've been discussing, Pete had gone home with the camera and switched on the light in the scullery, so it seems likely that we're talking about a cottage or house in Horning, lived in by a workman. So although Jonnatt's may possibly have had electricity at the boatyard, the question is whether, at that time, houses in Horning had mains electricity.
