Yes - you mentioned Blelham Beck previously. It does look good on Google Earth. What is Bee Holme Island like? Is it flat (ish) or is there a hint of the Beckfoot promontary about it?
I have been trying very hard to find a Belle Grange / Arthur Ransome link, but failing! He will have known of the house of course, but I'm not sure that's quite enough.
