Pendon is a fascinating place to visit, closely replicating the Vale of the White Horse in Wiltshire and separately Dartmoor in the 1930’s in 4mm to the foot scale.
Do not know about any direct link with either Dartmoor or the Vale. AR on marring Ivy did move, but not to Wiltshire.
Not sure about your time slip to the 1940’s. Nancy could have been driving in the 1930’s, indeed there was no compulsory driving test until June 1935.
Not sure that there was a minimum age for driving licences. So long as you paid your 5 shillings (25p) over the counter at the Post Office you could obtain a driving licence pre 1935.
She could have picked up Titty and Roger, in PP, from the station.
Perhaps a matter of conjecture as to whether the ride would have been any safer.
