Trains from Norwich run to London Liverpool Street Station on the old Great Easterm Line, which by the '30s would have been grouped into the London North Eastern Railway (LNER). Other than a few notable examples, such as the Hook Continental to Harwich, the railway services in East Anglia were not of the highest quality.
