Actually "Starboard your helm" meant push the wheel to the port.
There's a direct AR link here, although it's not in WD but in PP, when they are going into the mountain to consult Slater Bob. As they come to a change of direction in the tunnel, Nancy says 'Anyway, port your helm and head to starboard'. This is in a Kindle edition (I was away from home today) so I can't say what page it's on In Real Life.
