The hosting service for both All Things Ransome and TarBoard suffered a series of problems on Thursday-Friday May 3-4 2012 which rendered both websites unavailable for more than 24 hours. Additionally the contact e-mails for ATR were unavailable.
On behalf of ATR I would like to offer my apologies for the unavailability of the websites. Our service provider has assured me that they are investigating ways to avoid extended outages of this form in the future. Exactly what was wrong is not yet clear (although it would appear to have been multiple failures) but apparently they did not have or were unable to switch in an alternate server, which will hopefully be possible in the future.
As of 1800 UTC on Friday 4 May the problems seem to have been resolved and the systems have been up for close to three hours.
