Jack and Bob are the names of the woodmen that give Titty a ride home when Roger breaks his ankle in Swallowdale.
Then there's Jim Brading's Uncle Bob in WDMTGTS. Plus a chap called Bob on the quay who Jim asks about the Goblin, after exiting hospital.
The Coots know a Bob Curten (see The Big Six) who signs a witness statement to say he saw George O on a certain day.
