Interesting, Peter, I wasn't aware that Dorothea stirred such emotions in male Ransome fans! :) I'm just encountering her for the first time (in my adult life) while reading Winter Holiday. So far she hasn't done anything to mark her out for special attention. Maybe that comes later. I have Coot Club loaded up into the hopper for the next read.
