Welcome Richard. If you look at some of my recent posts you will see I am in the process of reading the books in order (probably for the first time) and 'seeing' them with a more adult eye than ever before (I am now in my late fifties and have been reading them since I was about 9 or 10 years old).

Currently I am reading ML. In addition to what others have said, and something I did not realise is that you do need to read SW after WDMTGTS. Having read them out of sequence in childhood I had not realised that they not only does SW follow directly on from WD they two books could have been one novel.

Once again I am amazed that here we all are mature adults discussing (and reading) books we discovered in childhood!
