If anyone is in the Lakes on the evening of 31st August, Brantwood are putting on an outdoor showing of the film Swallows and Amazons. The idea is that you bring a picnic (and chairs etc) to have before the film starts at 8.30. The 'gates' are open from 6 p.m. There will be folk music from 7.00, and I'm bringing Swallow over plus the replica Swallow campsite scene with a little quiz about it.
The setting overlooks Coniston lake and Kanchenjunga - it should be a memorable experience!
