It's such a temptation to place a fictional site into a true location, and we are doing this with the North Pole. Notwithstanding that, Mike Field's picture of the head of Windermere (not Lake Windermere) helps a lot, but maybe if we had the geopgraphical co-ordinates of the plaque, we could pinpoint it exactly on Google Earth. Perhaps some kind soul would check it with GPS. Would this appeal to Dick or not! It seems to me that this plaque - not on Coniston Water at all - is pretty conclusive evidence. Either of the two "North Poles" mentioned in recent posts may have been seen by AR and used with such success in WH.
