Thanks for posting this Robin. I am obviously glad that Doug survived, he and I sailed together aboard the tall ship "HMS" Rose (later converted to "HMS Surprise" in the Patrick O'Brian film Master & Commander:The Far Side of the World) back in 1996. I subsequently met him at a TARS AGM in 2000.
I am very sad to hear that two of the crew of the Bounty are still missing.
