Foolishly, I have forgotton to answer the question I wanted to ask all of you....what is the jewel in the crown of your collection?
I especially like the books that were cunningly bought via US ebay and transported back to the UK in my dad's suitcase after a painfully long wait. A bargain from the other side of world is especially sweet when it avoids crazy postage!
But it is the old and smelly books I treasure the most. A 1925 edition of a certain 'slim blue volume' by E F Knight, and Ransome's early "Stories by the Essayists".
