It seems that Dan Stevens has been cast as Captain Flint in the upcoming S&A film. He has recently appeared in Downton Abbey.
He seems a bit young for the role being only 30, just as Ronald Fraser seemed too old. He is not as stout or balding as I imagine Captain Flint to be. However, as Molly's younger brother, I can see that he is closer to what I imagine James Turner's age to be, which is mid-late 30s, although if JT is really meant to be a self-portrait of Ransome perhaps he should be in his late 40s.
