I found it really interesting that a mast problem on Nancy (too much bend in the top section of the mast) had been solved by studying the illustrations in WDMTGTS and noticing that the backstays were doubled (two wires lead from each of the backstay purchases at deck level, to two different parts of the upper mast).
Someone must have been over every illustration with a fine toothcomb; I am astounded! What other little gems lie hidden in AR's drawings I wonder...
