Anybody got any ideas? We have a Dutch translation of the book, but when Susan says 'We didn't mean to go to sea', it comes out, translated back into English as ' It was wholly not our intention (helemaal niet onze bedooling)to go to sea, which seems considerably less snappy than the original
I'm told the obvious solution, get one of the online translation sites to do it doesn't really cut the mustard in terms of colloquial Dutch.
So feel free to go freeform, thin outsde the box etc
