Screen Terrier seems to be all children who don't have a clue about how the acting/entertainment industry works (they think because they have attended Miss Twinkle-Toes Dancing Academy for two weeks then fame and fortune will automatically follow!) TV talent shows have a lot to answer for.
Not a Pushy Mum - seems to be the most appropriately named Website! I read through a few pages of comments and they are all exactly that. No wonder so many child actors leave the business or end up with huge problems in adult life.
I remember a television documentary celebrating some anniversary of the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Dick van Dyke was talking to the two child leads, and commenting to them what a great time they must have had making the film - the girl told him (to his obvious surprise) how much she hated it and how it affected her life in a negative way.
Reading Sophie Neville's blog she was clearly very fortunate in the way her mother knew the business and ensured her daughter did have a good time.
No doubt the film makers have already found the children they want, and as with Harry Potter this is all part of the publicity machine.
