"Spooky action at a distance" sounds like an apt description of this thread's connection with AR. Apologies to the purists.
I last took a serious look at QT in 1986 when I had the temerity to give a talk to a lay audience on the then recent results by Alain Aspect that confirmed that John Bell was right and Einstein was wrong. (Name dropping alert: I met John Bell when I worked at CERN but our professional lives did not cross.)
I hadn't come across Professor Yin's experiment before and Dr Hofer's paper, which I haven't yet read, is also new to me. It will be fun to see what I can make of them.
At least one of the Gizmag comments pointed out, as I had here, that Alice and Bob still cannot communicate faster than light. Of course Dick and Dot might be able if the observer cannot distinguish one D from the other.
