AR used to live in Bristol so he would have been familiar with a
famous family of Privateers in the Bristol area by the name of WALKER.

One member of this family, born in Bristol, was CAPTAIN JOHN WALKER,
RN who commanded the 25 gun Privateer "Jamaica" and who died in the
early 1900's off the coast of the Island of Jamaica while escourting
a fleet of 100 Merchant ships. Privateers were officially sponsored
PIRATES. Thus Captain John was actually a Pirate.

The reason that I know this is that Captain John is a direct
ancestor of my 6th cousin. On that side of the family my cousin also
has connections to the BOULTON family. We are trying to find out if
these Boultons are the ones related to E.B.B.

While we are on the Walker subject:
Did you know that the Walker, Turner and Blackett families are related.
That makes the Walker children distant cousins of Nancy and Peggy.
