When the Ransomes were first married they bounced around nine locations before settling in Hatch, Wiltshire, including three months at L.anehead. As Magnus says, their home in Froxfield is delightfully situated and like so many of Ransome's homes, miles from anywhere.
Tabitha was born in lodgings in Bournemouth where they stayed for a very short time.
You were quite right about Fulham. They lived there for 13 years, which was three years longer than their stay at Low Ludderburn, though the summers were spent in the Lakes.
Low L. was the first property that Ransome owned, until then he had rented, which perhaps explains why in the early months of their marriage, they seemed always on the move.
