Quite incidentally, Dick Kelsall's brother Des contributed a few articles to the U.S. TARS newsletter Signals from TARSUS collectively titled "A Fisheries Officer on Lake Victoria" recounting his experiences in the late 1940s. For those interested the first article appeared in the February 2004 issue; see http://allthingsransome.net/archives/sft/sftfebruary2004.pdf, Page 4-5. I believe the rest of the installments followed issue by issue. The index to issues is at http://allthingsransome.net/archives/sft/index.html. There really is a Ransome connection but you have to wait for it...
