I finished PM last night, and in the past I have dismissed it (sorry!)
I was struck by the maturity of Nancy (it's been noted by others that in SW she reverts to childishness unlike even the younger Swallows) and how the whole book is actually about the Ds (they too showing a maturity not seen before.)
The there is the GA, who by the end is not as awful as everyone thinks, the letter she leaves for Nancy and Peggy's mother (that they are allowed to read) gives a very different account of the events than they expect! Did the GA have more idea of what was going on than we are led to believe?
