Ah. My London park sailing memories are of the Round Pond, and the boat was all of a metre long. So not up to your experience.
But by golly, there were some really beautiful big, detailed models there. They'd be wheeled to the edge on trolleys with rubber tyres! We'd crowd around with our mouths open. Never forgotten...
