Maybe no use to you, but with a Mac, any text I enter in a web browser is spell checked automagically (which it just told me is not a word- but bother that...) It's part of the standard Mac install. However I'm sure that in Windows, it should be possible to get a global spell checker too.
tinyspell.numerit.com/ looks worth the purchase price.
I know that a while back when I wrote scripts, I used to believe that Real Men don't use spell checkers. And that all they did was slow you down. But now, in the autumn of my years (early winter?) I wouldn't be without.
