You mention that she lived in central London; in the only picture I have seen that shows her at all clearly, where she is with Brigit and Roger, by contrast she looks very smart and comparatively sophisticated. Was that the way she was? What impression did you get of her as a person?
I'd like to read 'In Aleppo Once' but it would be a speculative read, and the price of available copies puts me off.
