can be borrowed from the TARS Library
But unfortunately Peter C has told us several times he isn't in TARS.
I don't think North London Collegiate is likely in the timeframe of the books. The Junior school had moved to Canons from London in 1929, but the Metropolitan Line to Canons Park (now Jubilee Line) wasn't opened until the end of 1932. And WH is set in January 1932.
There was indeed the Northern Line, but Edgware station is inconveniently far from the school. Pupils did walk, but would the Callum parents have chosen that when there were several good day schools nearby?
I had always assumed that Prof Callum was at UCL, and Dot went to school within the same district.
